Joshua Judd

Farmer and Woodcutter of Mickleham

  Joshua Judd came from Saffron Walden in Essex and is a medium-sized market town in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England.   He was a farmer and woodcutter at Mickleham and had been in the colony 40 years at his death and came to Victoria c.1849.

Joshua married Elizabeth Lewis at the age of 52 years in 1863.  A year later in 1864 a son Joshua was born to Joshua Judd and Elizabeth Lewis, registered in Melbourne

When Joshua Judd Senior died in 1889 on the 14th day of November 1889 aged 79 leaving all his personal and real estate in his will dated 1879 to his son Joshua.  In his will he made David Gibson and Arthur Samuel Harman of the Mickleham Post Office his executors.

Joshua Junior gave address on death certificate as South Melbourne.  Joshua died in St. Kilda at the age of 66 in 1930.
