~ Thomas Colclough and Elizabeth Rooke ~


Thomas Colclough by 1863 had purchased 863 acres at Mickleham and called it 'Green Grove'.  His brother, Richard Colclough owned the 'Cumberland Homestead' today in ruins at Gellibrand Hill, Greenvale for a period of five years.

On February 5th 1869, grazier Thomas Colclough married Elizabeth Rooke at St. Luke's Church at Emerald Hill in Melbourne.  Thomas had prior come from Kilkenny in Ireland and Elizabeth from Dublin in Ireland.  

Thomas died at the age of 64 his parents being John Colclough and Margaret Budd in 1895 and Ellen died shortly before her husband at Kilmore in Victoria aged 68.
